2016 was a good year for the communications industry, in particular the Web Real-Time Communications (WebRTC) industry. We have seen large scale acquisitions and mergers along with acqui-hires by corporations looking to strengthen their internal teams.

In 2015 we saw close to 20 acquisitions and mergers take place. We are sure we have overlooked some smaller acquisitions that took place this year but this list is proof that the interest is high for WebRTC related companies, products and services.
